Chloe started off as a sort of nickname.  It came about my freshman year of college around spring break.  Everybody wanted a fake name and Chloe was mine.  For whatever reason that I still don’t know, even when break was over and we returned to school, some of my peers stuck with calling me Chloe.  Most people said it was because the name Britannica was too long.  I never would have guessed that I would be Chloe still for years to come and I definitely wouldn’t have thought it would be the brand it has evolved to today…

Honestly I’ve never had a plan.  From age three until now I had no idea what I wanted to be and changed my mind multiple times. At age 8 I settled on being a designer and stuck with that ambition until age 17 when I became president of FBLA at my high school.  When it came to applying to colleges, I got accepted to different art schools but decided I wanted the full college experience. I ended up taking the business route as fashion can be gained from experience.  However, I could never just put my passion aside so I expressed myself via how I dressed throughout college wearing a lot of vintage items and thrifting.  I graduated from Georgia Southern University in May of 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a minor in Information Systems and SAP.  I chose marketing because I felt every company could use that in almost any industry and since I had no idea what I wanted to do, I figured it would give me a good bit of options. I headed off to Corporate America as Britannica not knowing that Chloe would be the one to evolve and help me find my path and follow my dreams.

After being in corporate America for about 4 months, I knew there was something else I was supposed to be doing that didn’t involve me sitting at a desk for 8 hours. In 2014 alone, I created 3 separate websites:  Chloe Has Curves, Ladies Love Dapper, and Strictly Thrifty.  Each caters to a different audience and has a different view of fashion as well as serves a different purpose.  Read more about my sites and their contents  here.
