With the change of the seasons and weather also comes the change of colors and materials.  Living in Atlanta, honestly I don’t want to wear anything this time of year. It is literally just that hot. I don’t care how thin or short something is, or how cold the ac is blasting, it is still too much clothing.

Sometimes though, because I am an adult with things to do and places to go that just so happen to be out in public, I have to suck it up and put some clothes on. The main challenge in this type of weather is not only wearing things that keep you cool, but also cute. And with a good bit of events being outside, the struggle is real.  Believe it or not though, I think I found the perfect dress to solve all of my summer time chic problems.  And if that isn’t shocking enough, it just so happens to be denim…

Now usually, denim on denim is one of the most versatile and edgy, yet easy to put together looks all year round. When you’re living in constant hundred degree climates however, denim just isn’t your go-to material of choice.  Honestly, just the thought of jeans gives me a heat stroke right now but this dress from Boutique Bleu took me completely by surprise.

It’s not like the usual thick, stiff denim which is one of the reasons it’s cooler I’m sure, not to mention the spaghetti straps.  It’s casual to certain extent but easily transformed into a look perfect for brunch, rooftops, or really any summer festivity or function.

I’ve had this dress maybe a month and have already worn it twice.  No photos were taken other than these so don’t be surprise if you see me with it on a couple more times this summer.  I love that I can wear it with almost any shoe that accentuates the ankle.  It is the perfect shade of denim to compliment any color.  The neckline also makes it versatile for different jewelry combos and hair styles.  There really is no way you can go wrong with this.  Personally I think that you may want to just ahead and grab yourself one and be ready to fall in love with it.
