Fashion is what you buy, style is what you do with it. I’m sure we’ve all heard that one time or another. When it comes to knowing what’s “IN”, that is fashion. Wearing what you want, when you want, how you want, is style. There are no rules to this and sometimes you have to really push your own limits and test your comfort zones to get to your own level of style definition. To some, it may have have been natural and for others it may have been a bit more complicated and with a lot of trial and error…
For me, I would define my personal style as classy/sexy. I absolutely love being able to express my femininity in a modest way, but at the same time I am aware of my natural curves and know how to still show them OFF without showing IT ALL. In today’s society and based on a lot of social media, many people may think there is either one extreme or another, a woman is either fully clothed or pretty much naked and trust me, this isn’t always the case. Let me show you.
With this look, I decided to push the envelope…just a little. It may seem a bit revealing, and compared to my previous posts, it is. But honestly, I think it was the perfect balance for me and is right on the fine line between classy and sexy.
Wide leg pants are a huge weakness of mine. I love the way they always sit right on my hips, create the illusion of a smaller waist, and give me all the reason in the world to wear heels so they fall perfectly level to the ground. I had my eye on this particular pair from Fashion Addict Boutique for a while and knew I would love the fit. The bodysuit though, I just wasn’t so sure about.
I’ve said it a couple of time before but seriously, I am very self conscious when it comes to my body, especially my mid-section. I probably should be in the gym as we speak but I really need ya’ll to know how much I love this outfit LOL. Long story short, something still told me to just go for it and I am so glad I did (plus it came with the pants so I didn’t have much of a choice). With the perfect black bra and over-the-top neckpiece, the look was complete.
It really did take me awhile to get to this level of confidence but I made it and I know what my style is. The trick to being sexy without doing too much, is really to keep it simple. With a mesh top half, hardly anything else even needed to show. It’s similar to when you wear something tight and something loose to compliment each other. Balance is key, which is easy. Finding YOUR balance is the test….
